Hi!  I’m a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) specializing in adherent DBT.  In my work with clients, I rely upon my varied work experiences, striving always to bring a sense of curiosity, not judgment (insert Ted Lasso reference here). I see my clients as humans, first and foremost, trying to better understand their unique experience. In addition to utilizing DBT strategies, I employ analogies and metaphors to achieve the benefits of therapy.  Often the shadows in our lives are bigger than the objects themselves. 

My graduate degrees in Social Work and Public Administration led me to a career in affordable housing and then in Human Resources. I transitioned to a clinical setting, working 1:1 with clients and in groups - in both outpatient and emergency department settings.  I am trained in DBT as well as a board-certified supervisor. My DBT experience includes working with adolescents, their parents, and adults – honoring an adherent structure. Currently, I am participating in a contemporary psychoanalytic psychotherapy program to further develop my skill set.  My professional goal is to become nationally certified in DBT by the end of 2025.   

Outside of work, I enjoy the company of my two dogs, Scrabble and Zeus (who’s a good doggie?!), and my husband, Matt. I occupy my time writing snail mail to friends and family, exercising, volunteering, traveling, and sharing silly dad jokes in hopes of brightening someone’s day.
